TOPS Pro/iQ to [ONE] Pre Conversion Cleanup

Prior to migration from TOPS PRO or TOPS iQ the following data points must be updated/confirmed by the client:

 

General Ledger Setup Menus:

ACCOUNT RANGES for all Account types must be completed and cannot have gaps or overlaps in account numbering

All required accounts (noted in RED in TOPS Pro) must be completed.

 

Accounts Receivable Setup Menus:

All required accounts (noted in RED in TOPS Pro) must be completed.

Correct any Account fields showing “undefined account”

For Code Setup for Accrual Accounting, all codes must include a debit and a credit account

For Code Setup for Cash, all codes must include a debit and a credit account.

Misc. Codes 01 through 08 must be setup with correct posting Account(s)

 

Accounts Receivable

Post any open AR batches

Apply Owner AR Prepaids

Move any Owner Negative Balances to Prepaid

 

Accounts Payable:

Cut checks for any posted/unpaid invoices or cancel those invoices for re-entry into TOPS [ONE].

 

Accounts Payable/Bank Accts:

Each bank account must have an account # and routing # because they will be grouped into ‘master’ banks by routing #.  You can also delete the bank account to exclude it from the conversion.

 

CC&R/Control Info/Other Settings:

Verify you have a AR Misc. Charge Code designated as the CC&R charge code

 

CC&R/Codes:

All CC&R Codes should have a CCR Code Description

All CC&R Codes should be unique to the CC&R Module.  For example, a CC&R Code cannot be named the same as a Work Order Code OR cannot be named the same as an Accounts Receivable Charge Code, such as “01”, “02”, “03”, etc.

 

Work Order/Codes:

All Work Order Codes should be unique to the Work Ordre Module.  For example, a Work Order Code cannot be named the same as a CC&R Code OR cannot be named the same as an Accounts Receivable Charge Code, such as “01”, “02”, “03”, etc.
